At 434 Tattoo, our Honolulu custom tattoo parlor, we pride ourselves not only on our artistry, but also our professionalism and dedication to safe practices, such as being actively licensed tattooists in Hawaii.
Owner Adam Siehr has been active in working with the Hawaii State Department of Health for many years by providing support, information, and testimony regarding legislation relating to tattooing in Hawaii. Our team of artists are also involved in safe practices and are members in the Alliance of Professional Tattooists.
Many people like to go through their friends for unlicensed tattoos. We are not one to criticize a person for their choices but we strongly advocate getting future work done by a licensed tattooist. An artist who is licensed is trained in the best and updated practices that meet standards as set forth by the Department of Health. Tattooing is an intense process on the body and if proper standards aren’t followed, people run the risk of infection, which can lead to illness if one is not careful.
And at our Waikiki tattoo shop, we would much rather give you a tattoo experience that is positively awesome!
