Where to Get Traditional Japanese Tattoos in Hawaii

Are you interested in getting a Japanese style tattoo?  Do you want to take the experience to Japan without leaving the island?  If you are, then it is time for you to contact the team here at 434 Tattoo, our custom tattoos studio in Honolulu.

As a Custom Tattooing Studio, 434 Tattoo has been voted as Hawaii’s Best Tattoo Shop for the last four years (and counting!) by the Consumer Business Review and our Tattoo Artists have seen a number of celebrity clientele come in as well as many repeat clients from around the world.

Tattoo Adam, Owner and President of the team at our Waikiki tattoo parlor, specializes in custom tattooing in multiple styles.  Having been inspired early in his Life by Japanese Tattoos, Adam has traveled to Japan on multiple occasions to study, learn, and get tattooed!

Adam has been tattooed by and studied the work of Japanese Tattoo Legend, Horiyoshi III.  For many years, Adam has studied the traditional Japanese tattooing known as Tebori and if you are interested, Adam has developed a second level within our Hawaii Tattoo shop that is dedicated to the practice of Tebori.

Described as “meditative” and a bit more relaxing than being tattooed by the machine, Tebori involves being tattooed by hand used the instrument pictured above.

20140404_133024If you are really interested in all aspects of the culture involved in getting a tattoo, then this option is for you.  To learn more about getting Tebori in Hawaii please feel free to contact us (info below) and we’ll be happy to work with you on creating a piece that you love!

Let’s get you suited!
