This year’s headliners & celebrity artists include a who’s who in the tattoo industry from Freddy Negrete to Lyle Tuttle and the next generation of tattoo superstars like Horiyoshi “souryou” the 3rd, the son of our sensei, the Japanese tattoo icon Horiyoshi III!

In Need of a Tattoo Cover-Up in Hawaii?

Getting a tattoo is for life, unless you get it removed, which involves a pretty painful laser process. So what do you do if you’ve changed, your life has changed, or you need a change when if comes to your pre-existing ink and you don’t want laser tattoo removal?

You can get a cover-up…

A cover-up tattoo involves getting a new piece over the piece that existed prior.  It might take time, but you can transform the tattoo you no longer want to display into something beautiful, that you are proud to wear.  In some cases, you might not be be able to cover it up completely but your artist can creatively find ways to help blend it and make it awesome.

Say What?!? A New Marine Tattoo Policy.

It seems like we alternate between celebrating new, liberal tattoo loving policies with new, conservative, tattoo limiting policies in this day & age.  Ah, well such is life.

The US Marine Corps has announced an update to its policy, which does allow tattoos, but limits the amount and placement of visible tattoos on a service member’s body.

Time will tell whether this new rule impacts recruiting but one wonders if the Navy will see its numbers grow more than the Marines in light of the fact that the Navy allows more ink to be on one’s body.
