The Pacific Ink & Art Expo celebrates its 5th year of operation this year!

This year’s headliners & celebrity artists include a who’s who in the tattoo industry from Freddy Negrete to Lyle Tuttle and the next generation of tattoo superstars like Horiyoshi “souryou” the 3rd, the son of our sensei, the Japanese tattoo icon Horiyoshi III!

Our team from 434 Tattoo, one of Hawaii’s best tattoo studios will be on hand to take in the festivities!  Led by Horiyume Tattoo Adam, we specialize in a variety of styles including tebori (traditional Japanese tattoos), custom tattooing, freehand, Japanese, & more!

It’s that time of year!

The 2015 Pacific Ink & Art Expo has returned!  434 Tattoo, our Waikiki Tattoo Studio, will be in the booth this weekend! Be sure to stop by and say hello & get your ink on!  Tattoo Adam & other members of our team will be on site ready to give you the best experience on the planet!

Convention Season in Hawaii – The First Annual Hawaii Cannabis Expo

The First Annual Hawaii Cannabis Expo was held in Honolulu, Hawaii, this past weekend!

Our Waikiki tattoo shop recently had the pleasure of inking one of the State Representatives from New Hampshire, who have been at the forefront of policy making related to Marijuana, in particular in decriminalizing this herbal medicine that has been used by humanity through its history.

Hawaii currently has 13,000 active, registered medical marijuana patients.  With the evolving stance about medical marijuana and dispensaries here in Hawaii, dispensaries are estimated to bring in an additional $5 million in revenue to the State of Hawaii.

Many feel that it’s only a matter of time before this is fully legalized and following in the footsteps of Colorado and Washington, particularly with both States reporting huge windfalls because of the initiative.

Hawaii Tattoo Convention – Coming this Summer 2015

The 2015 Hawaii Tattoo Convention is right around the corner!

Tebori tattoo artist Takashi will be going to the Pacific Ink & Art Expo on August 7, 8, & 9, during his time in Hawaii but you can get your work done or started by him from July 30 at our Waikiki tattoo studio!  Check out what his bio for the Expo has to say about his work:

“Although outlines are still done by machine, this method uses a long bamboo stick, called a nomi, with steel needles arranged in rows, singly or stacked and tied at the end. The tip of the nomi is dipped in ink and pressed rapidly into the skin. This creates some of the finest shading and subtle gradations, giving the tattoos a distinct look from typical machine work.”

Hawaii Tattoo Convention 2014

The Pacific Ink and Art Expo 2014 is right around the corner and our Waikiki tattoo studio 434 Tattoo will be there!

Having enjoyed the tattoo convention circuit last year, 434 Tattoo Owner and President Tattoo Adam  is hitting the road to tattoo before returning home to Hawaii and taking part in the third year of the Pacific Ink and Art Expo.

First up, Adam will be returning to his former stomping grounds and tattooing in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 19 & 20.  Following up the time in Sin City, Adam is heading to California and will be at the 2014 Body Art Expo, which is billed as the World’s largest tattoo convention and hold events year round!

 

Over 300 artists from around the world will be on hand for this multi-day event running from July 25 – 27.  If you will be Las Vegas or California during this time, be sure to check our own Hawaii Tattoo Artist, Adam Siehr!

Pacific Ink & Art Expo Pau Hana

The Pacific Ink & Art Expo saw its second incarnation this past week and our Waikiki Tattoo Studio was on hand to take part in the event and do some custom tattoos for any and all.  Pictured above is Tattoo Adam and Yoshi showing off the work on their bodysuits at the event.

Also on hand was Hawaii Tattoo Artist (by way of LA), 434 Tattoo‘s  Logan.  Check out Tattoo Adam and Logan chilling at the booth repping our Hawaii tattoo shop.
